Privacy Policy

What information AlTanto collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: September 9, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information AlTanto (“AlTanto”, “we”) collects, how we use it, and the control you have over it. It applies to the AlTanto mobile app for Android and iOS and to the grupoaltanto.com website. AlTanto is a stock market and financial information and analysis platform: it is not a broker, it does not execute trades, and it does not provide personalized financial advice.

2. What information we collect

  • Account data: your email address, your username, your password (always stored hashed, never in plain text), and your country. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google identifier and the associated email address.
  • Profile: your profile photo, only if you choose to upload one.
  • Content you create: the holdings and transactions you record in your portfolio, your lists and watchlist, and the posts, comments, and ratings you share in the Community.
  • Preferences: language, theme, and your Community privacy choices (showing your weekly performance, allowing others to copy your portfolio, turning push notifications on or off).
  • Subscription: if you purchase AlTanto Premium, we receive a transaction confirmation from Apple, Google, or Mercantil (a purchase or receipt identifier and its expiration date). We never receive or store your card details or bank account number.
  • Minimal technical data: a device identifier (token) needed to send you push notifications, and the standard server logs (IP address, date and time, request type) that any internet service generates.

3. What we do not collect

  • We do not use third-party analytics tools or advertising/tracking SDKs. The app does not include Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or anything similar, and we do not build advertising profiles.
  • We do not collect your precise location, your contact list, your calendar, or your browsing history.
  • Biometric sign-in (Face ID or fingerprint) is handled by your operating system. AlTanto never sees or stores your biometric data.

4. How we use your information

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your sign-in.
  • Display and compute your portfolio, your watchlist, and the Community features (rankings, reputation, accuracy score).
  • Send you notifications about the market, your alerts, and your account. You can turn push notifications off at any time from the Account screen.
  • Process and verify your Premium subscription.
  • Generate AI analysis. To write your portfolio rebalancing suggestion, the symbol of your largest-weighted asset and a percentage are sent to the Google Gemini API; your name, your email, and the full detail of your holdings are not sent.
  • Respond to your support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the security of the service.

5. Who we share information with

We work with providers that process data only on our instructions and only for the purposes described above:

  • Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — authentication, if you choose that sign-in method.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC) — technical delivery of push notifications.
  • Expo (Expo, Inc.) — push notification delivery service.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — billing and validation of the in-app subscription.
  • Mercantil, C.A. Banco Universal — billing of the subscription when you pay from the website.
  • Google Gemini API (Google LLC) — generation of the AI analysis text.
  • Render (Render Services, Inc.) — hosting of the application and the database.
  • Resend (Resend, Inc.) — sending transactional emails (account verification, password recovery).

The market data we display — Caracas Stock Exchange, Central Bank of Venezuela, SUNAVAL, SUDEBAN, and cryptocurrency price providers — is information we receive; we do not send them any personal data about you.

6. Sale of data

We do not sell your personal information to third parties and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

7. Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Raw server event logs are automatically deleted after 7 days. When you delete your account, we erase your personal information as described in the next section.

8. Your rights and deleting your account

You can review and correct your data from the Account screen in the app.

You can delete your account directly from the app, under Account → Delete account. On confirmation, your profile, your holdings, your lists, your watchlist, and your Community content are permanently erased, and you are signed out. This action cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by writing to administrador@grupoaltanto.com.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription: you must cancel it from your store's subscription settings.

9. Children

AlTanto is a financial product intended for people over 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will publish the current version on this page and update the “last updated” date.

11. Contact

For any question about this policy or about your data, write to us at administrador@grupoaltanto.com.
